Suxanne Purewal - author

Suzanne Purewal has been able to take life's tragedies and channel that energy into her passion; writing.

I feel a little funny about writing about Suzanne...I mean, she is a writer - with books - books that people read - books that are really good.  So, rather than to embarass myself, here is what she said about herself:

Suzanne grew up in Webster, NY. She is a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy High School, Rochester, NY. Although music and writing were her passions, she attended GMI Engineering & Management Institute, Flint, MI, to pursue a career with General Motors.

Never far from the surface, creativity beckoned, and she became a contributor and the editor of the school's underground paper. Shortly thereafter, she was asked to edit the school's official paper.

After graduation, she continued to further her career by earning a Master of Science degree from Kettering University, formerly known as GMI Engineering & Management Institute. Suzanne worked for General Motors and Delphi for a combined twenty-two years.

Over the years, she entertained coworkers with descriptive stories. They encouraged her to write a book. She didn't seriously consider it, until she was diagnosed with cancer. During her battle against the disease, she started writing again.

Embracing Destiny is the first of Suzanne's novels to be published. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, singing, and playing the guitar and piano. She now resides in Noblesville, IN
.

She has 2 books, and a 3rd being released soon.  What better gift could there be that a book for someone who loves to read...signed by the author?  GREAT gift!

Here is a little bit about her books:

About Embracing Destiny

This powerful romance novel follows Sara Taylor - a woman standing at a crossroad. Disillusioned with her love life and lackluster career, she searches for meaning in her life. Change is on the horizon. Joe Lazaro's burning desire for Sara has never been stronger. Yearning to make his own life complete, he intends to reconnect with his soulmate. However, an unexpected event sets her on a journey. Outside forces intervene, and danger lurks in every shadow.

Peers Health and Beauty Expo To Welcome Author

GRANGER, IND - Organizers of the Peers Health and Beauty Expo announce a special appearnce by author, Suzanne Purewal. Ms Purewal will be at the Expo on Saturday, December 2, 2012 from 9am until 2pm.  The Expo will take place in City Plaza on University Drive in Granger, Indiana.

Indiana author and poet, Suzanne Purewal, continues to serve as an inspiration to others as she pursues her passion – writing. Battling cancer, being downsized and enduring an unexpected divorce provided ample fuel for her work.

During her presentation at the Indiana 2012 Writers’ Conference, she explained, “Adversity is a necessary evil for any artist. It’s how you react to it that matters. You must channel and infuse your energy into something positive. At times, it is very difficult, and you question if you can go on. But you must keep moving forward.”

How Purewal handles adversity provides encouragement to others. When asked how she remains positive, she replied, “Faith, hope, laughter and a wonderful support system. You can not control what happens in life, but keeping a healthy outlook is the most important thing you can do for yourself, no matter what the challenge.”

Readers can feel the raw emotions leap from the pages of Purewal’s poetry book, From 14 to 41. And her breakthrough novel, Embracing Destiny, offers a welcome blend of romance, humor, mystery and intrigue.

In December, Purewal will be launching her blog, “Pursuing My Passion.” In addition to her own material, she will feature guest bloggers of various backgrounds who are pursuing their passions.

The Peers Health and Beauty Expo is also a stage for a fundraiser for Hello Gorgeous! of Hope.  Hello Gorgeous! supports those battling cancer by providing makeovers, ambush style. As a cancer survivor, Purewal is especially excited to be a part of this event.  She said, "I want to encourage other women who are battling cancer, and try to empower them to find their passion through the adversity of the fight against cancer".
