The thing I am so excited about with all of these breakthrough products is that there are options.  There isn't one product that will work for everyone - that is why there are options. I can't wait to hear about the breakthrough results people get from attending the Expo!

Suxanne Purewal - author

Suzanne Purewal has been able to take life's tragedies and channel that energy into her passion; writing.

I feel a little funny about writing about Suzanne...I mean, she is a writer - with books - books that people read - books that are really good.  So, rather than to embarass myself, here is what she said about herself:

Suzanne grew up in Webster, NY. She is a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy High School, Rochester, NY. Although music and writing were her passions, she attended GMI Engineering & Management Institute, Flint, MI, to pursue a career with General Motors.

 
Never far from the surface, creativity beckoned, and she became a contributor and the editor of the school's underground paper. Shortly thereafter, she was asked to edit the school's official paper.

After graduation, she continued to further her career by earning a Master of Science degree from Kettering University, formerly known as GMI Engineering & Management Institute. Suzanne worked for General Motors and Delphi for a combined twenty-two years.

Over the years, she entertained coworkers with descriptive stories. They encouraged her to write a book. She didn't seriously consider it, until she was diagnosed with cancer. During her battle against the disease, she started writing again.

Embracing Destiny is the first of Suzanne's novels to be published. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, singing, and playing the guitar and piano. She now resides in Noblesville, IN.

She has 2 books, and a 3rd being released soon.  What better gift could there be that a book for someone who loves to read...signed by the author?  GREAT gift!

Thirty-One Gifts

CONFESSION:  I am a bag-a-holic.  I travel a lot (way too much sometimes) and have a bag for every occasion. Thing is, all my bags must match. I'm not only a bag-o-holic, but I'm obsessive about it.

I've gone though a lot of travel bags, work bags, tote bags...and was never really happy.  That is until I found Thirty-One bags! The best thing is you can initial them (OK, best thing aside from them being great quality bags).

I figured this company had a story.  Every good company and good product does, right?   So I went to the website to see what the scoop was:

BETHZA Professional Makeup Artist

BETHZA Professional Makeup Artist is one talented lady.  Putting makeup on other people's faces looks like a piece of cake - but let me tell you, it's NOT!  Her eye for beauty and color is really a God given talent, and it has been my privilege to be on the receiving end of her talents.

I was looking at Bethza's Facebook page, and it said this:

Bethza Professional Makeup Studio is bringing the big city fashion and trends of makeup and skin care to our Elkhart downtown! Offering all the necessary tools and makeup products used by the runway professionals.

In addition to her makeup studio, Bethza has a private line of cosmetics.  At the Expo, Bethza will be offering makeup tips and tricks...goodness knows I need a few tips and tricks!

Dr. Long

Some say that you are never fully dressed without a smile. I have to agree.  Your smile tells a lot about who you are, and can make or break your first impression.

Dr. Long is dedicated to your smile! I'll admit, I'm obsessed with my teeth.  As I've aged, they have moved, and I am not happy about it.  I only recently found out that there are several options for me - and those options don't include the tin-tooth brace face that plagued my 7th grade memories.

I went to Dr. Long's website to get more information, here is what I found out:

Dr. Long has practiced orthodontics in the Northern Indiana area since 2003. It is important to him to raise his family in a community with the same morals and values that he grew up with in his hometown of LaOtto, IN. Dr. Long’s hobbies include spending quality time with his family, vintage Shelby Mustangs, and a variety of sports including weight lifting, running, rugby, and attempting to play golf.

 You may have noticed that our doctor specializes in "Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics." While most people have heard of orthodontics, many are confused by the dentofacial orthopedics part of the title.

Every orthodontist starts out in dental school. Upon completion of dental school, some graduates immediately go into practice as dentists. Others choose to pursue a specialty, which requires additional schooling during a two- to three-year residency program. There are nine specialties sanctioned by the American Dental Association. Some you are likely familiar with: Pediatric Dentistry (dentistry for children), Periodontics (dentistry focusing on the gums), and Oral Surgery.

Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics is one of the nine specialties. Essentially, while orthodontics entails the management of tooth movement, dentofacial orthopedics involves the guidance of facial growth and development, which occurs largely during childhood. Appliances are frequently used — the more familiar braces for orthodontics, and other specialized appliances like headgear and expanders depending on what facial abnormalities are present. Sometimes orthopedic treatment may precede conventional braces, but often the two are accomplished at the same time. So if your child gets braces and headgear, he's actually undergoing orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.

Being skilled in both areas, our doctor is able to diagnose any misalignments in the teeth and jaw as well as the facial structure, and can devise a treatment plan that integrates both orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedic treatments.

I have some questions for Dr. Long!  Not only about my smile, but my daughter's too.  And honestly, how many times do you get the opportunity to talk with a doctor and get his opinion...for free?

Nerium

Nerium. What to say about this miracle product. I guess I'll start at the beginning with my experience. I am a beauty product junkie - always trying the latest and greatest...and most end up being not so great.

I went to lunch with a friend several months ago and couldn't help but to notice her skin.  Glowing, Perfect, Flawless. I was jealous. I asked what she was doing different.  She said one word. Nerium.

Then another friend asked if I had heard of this thing called Nerium.  She suggested I try it. I took pictures of my face before and after - about 2 weeks later. WOW! I was shocked at the results!
